Mother's Day Execution

There's still time to put this Hallmark holiday on its heels.

Right or wrong this week creates a lot of mental load for dads. You either have Mother’s Day looming over your head, or you’re eeking out enough time to focus for 2 seconds to plan what she deserves. Either way, it loom.

It's normal. You're not alone.

If you didn't slot a quick block of time to run the play I sent this past Saturday, you’re still ok! These are super basic, but we often choose inaction when we’re busy/overwhelmed.

5 quick things you can do before Sunday

  1. Order or pick up a non-Hallmark card.

Quick, easy, and better than nothing. Actions speak louder than words. Action- you bought a card. Words- see card.

  2. Order flowers - still time.

Can’t speak for local joints but bouqs.com still has 2 days left. Exorbitant surcharges and lackluster bouquets may apply. Buyer beware

  3. Pick-up flowers- give before Mother’s Day

To hell with Hallmark holidays. Get her flowers while you’re thinking about it. Tell her thank you, today. Boom, extended Mother’s Day!

  4. Random acts of kindness/appreciation

Same as above. Start early. Who cares? You do…b/c you’re showing her appreciation, the made-up holiday be damned.

  5. Kid’s craft: you can still make a pre-Sunday hour block on your calendar to work with the kids on a simple craft. 2x the points if you let Mom get away while you do it. This will be appreciated and noticed.

Want to be more intentional throughout the year? It feels better, it’s less stressful, and it creates more happiness than one busy brunch in May.

That’s what Appairent does for you.

Hope this helps. Don’t let a single day put you on tilt. You got this.

Here’s to putting some real hump in your Hump Day 🍻 .
